Freelance Tutor Hampshire

Are you passionate about education and eager to inspire young minds? We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Tutor to provide tailored academic support to students—helping them grow in confidence and achieve their goals.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, including those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and who is committed to making a meaningful impact through education.

What you’ll be doing

  • Delivering 1:1 or small group sessions, tailored to each student’s learning style and academic level

  • Creating engaging, personalised lesson plans that align with the school curriculum

  • Monitoring progress and adapting your teaching approach to suit individual needs

  • Building strong, supportive relationships that motivate and encourage learning

  • Communicating regularly with parents/carers to share progress and strategies

  • Staying current with best practices in education and special needs support

What we’re looking for

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Experience working with children, showing empathy and patience

  • An understanding of or experience with SEMH needs or special education (a big plus!)

  • A passion for helping students learn, grow, and succeed

  • Previous tutoring experience is highly desirable
